If your system takes a different pin style, you can consider buying a new ballast also - this may still work out at the same price as your original lamp, but going forward your lamp replacement will be cheaper.  We use a standard universal lamp which is therefore more readily available so you are not locked into a unique lamp.

Lamps are extremely sensitive to any power event, interruption, surge etc. A Belkin surge protector should be used on ALL Lamps.
